This is the 21st time in a row that Zurich Airport has won the World Travel Award. Zurich Airport has been unbeaten for the ASQ Award in the category "Best Airport in Europe in the 25 to 40 Million Passengers Category" since 2018.

Lukas Brosi, CEO Flughafen Zürich AG

We are very pleased that we were once again able to win two of the most prestigious awards in our industry. Ensuring high quality for our passengers is of great importance to Zurich Airport and requires good cooperation between all partners. We would like to thank all the companies and employees at the airport who contribute to this every day.

From food to cleanliness

The ASQ Award is presented annually by the Airports Council International (ACI), the international organisation of airport operators, and is based on customer surveys. The survey covers 34 different categories such as infrastructure, catering facilities and hygiene measures.

The World Travel Award is also presented annually in various categories. The prize is awarded via online voting after nomination by the World Travel Award Committee. In addition to customer satisfaction, the quality standards of products and services at and around Zurich Airport are also evaluated for the nomination.

Focus on customer experience

In order to further uphold and promote the customer experience, Zurich Airport was already accredited for the ACI Customer Experience Program last year. The program is recognized as the industry standard for airports, helping them continuously improve their customer experience by building a complete customer view. Among other things, the program focuses on how customer feedback can be used even more optimally in order to derive recommendations for action from it and take them into account in everyday decisions. One example of this is the new ZRH Comfort service, which is a direct result of customer surveys. With the offer, passengers benefit from a separate and staffed lounge area including snacks and drinks as well as the priority lane at the security checkpoint.
