WEF 2025: Guests from business, politics and society travel via Zurich Airport
The World Economic Forum (WEF) takes place in Davos in mid-January. Overall, about the same number of additional flight movements are expected as in previous years. There are special tours for spotters and extended opening hours on the Observation Deck B.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos begins on Monday, 20 January and runs until Friday, 24 January. In the days before, during and after the WEF, additional flight movements of business jets and state aircraft as well as increased political and security-related helicopter transports are expected. As in previous years, a total of around 1000 additional flight movements are expected during this period. Due to the short-term nature of the visits and the limited number of stands, this figure is only an estimate and is subject to change.
As in the previous year, Jet Aviation, in cooperation with Zurich Airport, is offering WEF guests the opportunity to refuel their aircraft with a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend.
Observation Deck B with extended opening hours
Observation Deck B will be open daily from 08:00 to 20:00 during the WEF from Saturday, 18 January to Friday, 24 January. Aviation fans can also experience the activity up close at popular locations, such as the spotter site on the west side of the airport or the north-side spotter site in Oberglatt.
Guided WEF tours
Special guided tours will also beoffered during the WEF this year. The number of places is limited, so advance booking is highly recommended.
