This was the Zauberpark 2024 at Zurich Airport
The fourth edition of the Zauberpark music and light festival at Zurich Airport thrilled over 36,000 guests during 18 days with its varied music and children's program and diverse light art. The Zauberpark will take place again next year, from 19 November to 6 December 2025.
The Zauberpark opened on 21 November with a snowy opening evening, where the Schwiizergoofe and Nemo performed. For more than two weeks, the Zauberpark offered a diverse music and children's program that attracted interested visitors every evening.
Diverse children's and music program
Both kids' acts and music acts from Switzerland and Europe provided entertainment on the Zauberpark stage. This year's children's program included children's songwriter Andrew Bond, Tante Carmen and, for the first time, the Schwiizergoofe with their dance and singing workshop on the park stage. This was followed by concerts by music acts such as Bligg, The Kolors, Bastian Baker, Alice Merton, Max Giesinger and the Stubete Gäng. The concerts by Nemo and The Gardener & The Tree were translated into sign language live on stage in collaboration with the Denk an mich foundation. This meant that the music of the two acts could also be made accessible to numerous hearing-impaired visitors.
Panoramic path with light art installations
On the panoramic path that leads through the airport park, 14 new light art installations by light artists from all over Europe could be discovered by the guests. These were curated by the art and design collective NOA (No Ordinary Art Lab AG). This year's installations included the two "Waldtiere", "Talking Heads" consisting of two giant heads that interact with each other with the help of 4,000 LEDs each, or "Der Wuselhain", where visitors could create their own forest spirit using a QR code and have it dance on the screen.
