Successful implementation of the Career Days at Zurich Airport
Flughafen Zürich AG and ten other companies spent a week providing insights into their diverse everyday working lives. Around 700 interested people took advantage of the wide range of guided tours and information events.
From 21 to 27 October, the Career Days took place at Zurich Airport for the first time. The offer was aimed at all those who are interested in Zurich Airport as a place to work – whether shortly before starting their training or already in the middle of their professional lives. A total of eleven airport companies took part in the Career Days: the airlines Swiss and Helvetic Airways, Skyguide, the handling agents Swissport and Dnata, SR Technics, the service providers Autogrill by Avolta, Dufry by Avolta and Gate Gourmet and the two hotels Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle and Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle. A total of around 700 guests attended the over 70 offers such as guided tours, information events, live discussions and the job café.
Caroline Zika, Head of Young Talents & Recruiting, was responsible for the organisation and coordination of the first Career Days in close cooperation with other responsible persons from the airport companies involved:
"We are very pleased about the lively interest, the great encounters and the diverse discussions at the Career Days. The Job Café, the guided tours and information events on various topics provided some exclusive insights into airport operations and were met with great interest from the audience. This week was a great opportunity to experience the diversity of employers, job profiles and career opportunities in our airport world live."
Around 30,000 employees work in around 300 companies at Zurich Airport, making Zurich Airport an important workplace in the region.
