Zurich Airport is not only responsible for Switzerland's good accessibility, but is also an important business location. Around 30,000 employees work here in some 300 companies, making Flughafen Zürich AG an important workplace in the region. For the first time, Flughafen Zürich AG is joining forces with ten airport partners to provide a whole week of insights into the diverse world of work and present their job profiles. 

For a whole week, interested parties can take part in a total of 23 guided tours, various information events and personal discussions. The career days are aimed at anyone who is interested in Zurich Airport as a place to work - whether they are about to start their education or are already in employment. In addition to education opportunities, career paths and part-time models will also be presented. 

Guided tours with exclusive insights 

The guided tours provide a glimpse behind the scenes of airport operations. For example, interested parties can visit the SR Technics workshops, the air traffic controllers' workplace in the tower or the baggage sorting system, or observe passenger operations with airport guides or bus drivers. Service providers such as Autogrill by Avolta and Dufry by Avolta also offer tours of their shops and explain the wide range of employment opportunities in catering and retail. The two hotels located in the Circle, Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle and Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle, also offer tours. On the job trail with Swissport, the areas of aircraft loading and unloading, baggage sorting, transport, load control and pushback can be explored. Flughafen Zürich AG takes interested visitors underground for a canal trek or to the apron for a visit to Airfield Maintenance. 

Events are organised daily. Depending on the event, these are limited to a certain number of participants, which is why advance booking is required for the guided tours.

Information events and live Q&A sessions 

At the information events, various job profiles and everyday working life are presented in a practical way. SWISS, for example, will be presenting the professions of flying personnel and ground staff and answering questions live. Helvetic Airways will explain the part-time and full-time models as a cabin attendant. Anyone interested in an apprenticeship can take advantage of the interactive information event organised by Flughafen Zürich AG, where apprentices will talk about their everyday working lives.

Job Café: bring your application documents and benefit 

On 25 and 26 October, employers will be presenting their professions and training opportunities at the Job Café on the Observation Deck B. Interested parties can also get valuable tips on the application process from experts on site.
