In March, the number of local passengers was 1,636,651. Transfer passengers amounted to 33.6%, equal to 829,706 passengers. 

Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 2.7% to 21,492 take-offs and landings. The average number of passengers per movement increased to 130 (+2.8% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was 77.2% (+2.1 percentage points vs. previous year). 

A total of 39,993 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of March. This represents a decrease of 3.6% in freight volume compared to last year.
