Each year, Advent transforms Zurich Airport into a festive haven, and visitors can look forward to a diverse Advent program. A highlight of the season is the fourth edition of Zauberpark, which will once again turn the airport park into a hub of concerts, light art, and culinary delights from 21 November to 8 December.

Each evening, renowned musicians from Switzerland and abroad take the stage, including acts like Nemo, Max Giesinger, Alice Merton, Stubete Gäng, and Bligg. A dedicated children’s program precedes the main acts in the early evening, featuring performances by children’s songwriter Andrew Bond, clowns Pepe & Tommy, and the magic trio Zaubersocken.

Art enthusiasts will also be delighted: Fourteen new light installations by artists from across Europe will be on display along the panoramic path of Zauberpark. Many installations invite guests to interact and immerse themselves in the experience.

Christmas Village at The Circle

Coinciding with the Zauberpark’s opening on 21 November, the Christmas Village at The Circle main square welcomes visitors. At the heart of the square stands the nine-meter-tall «Sparkling Tree», adorned with approximately 1,500 mirrored spheres, illuminated in a magical display every hour starting at 17:00. Surrounding the tree, festive huts serve winter favorites such as raclette, cheese noodles, and hot beverages. Groups of up to 10 people can enjoy a cozy fondue experience in the fondue hut.

Shops at Zurich Airport remain open late into the evening, including Sundays and public holidays. From 17 to 26 December, on-site gift-wrapping services are available. Additionally, St. Nicholas (Samichlaus) will visit Airport Shopping, the departure halls, and The Circle main square from 6 to 8 December, between 12:00 and 17:00.

On Sunday, 8 December, the ZurichAirportOrchestra’s traditional Advent concert will take place. The orchestra, composed of over 20 musicians who work at or have a special connection to the airport, will fill Departure Hall 2 with festive melodies.
