In August, the number of local passengers was 2,303,777. Transfer passengers amounted to 30.6%, equal to 1,016,420 passengers.

Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 2.9% to 26,009 take offs and landings. The average passenger per movement figure decreased to 142.6 (-2.2% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was at 83.4% (-1.4 percentage points vs. previous year).

A total of 34,444 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of August. This led to a decrease of 0.4% in freight volume compared to last year.
